so, at first i thought the idea of twitter was absolutely bizarre...wait... bizarre might be the wrong word. creepy maybe? completely insane? as soon as i realized what it was i decided i wanted to never have a twitter account. then, the more i thought about it, the more i realized that that thing that made me be creeped out by it is probably the same reason i am stoked to have started a twitter page. my blackberry may as well be surgically implanted onto me, so i always have a means of communicating with the outside world, and i do lots of stuff all day and constantly feel like telling people, but most of the time i look up to share whatever weird thing im doing with someone, anyone really, and theres no one there to tell...aside from nushi...but she barely knows how to respond to her own name let alone the entire english language. so, come be my friend and i will be yours and we will be strangely updated on each others lives through every completely mundane thing that we do. by the way, i just started this to i will try and fancy it up a bit and make it kewl. twitter.com/benjorg

now in my life it has kind of become that annoying friend you have that basically exists exclusively for you to pick on. they annoy you, they mooch off you, they don't offer you anything in exchange for the time you give them, and all you can do is complain about them, and say how little they do for you, but once they move to a different state or transfer schools, you realize that you actually miss them being around all the time...the misery they caused you became a part of you...and its only once theyre gone that you realize you loved it. that is my insomnia. i can complain about it all i want, but at the end of the day (literally), thats when i exist without anything else around. its my safe-haven...even though its misery. maybe thats my a lot of things. im not sure what i would do without the things that i think of as miserable in my life. maybe without all of those weights i perceive to be holding me down i would just float off like some hot-air balloon...and you would see me trying to grab onto the tips of trees on my way out. thats kind of a fucked up thing though isnt it? i guess its hard to really define yourself as happy when things that make you miserable also make you complete, for whatever reason. but here are some things that are truly making me happy recently:

1) copying my entire dvd collection onto my external hard drive so i will have no need for any physical dvds anymore. i dont know why, but ive become obsessed with doing this. lord knows if i'll ever watch these movies again, i just kind of feel cool ripping them all... like im some cool computer hacker...even though thats the farthest thing from what i am.

2) observing nushi. she is such a little person. sometimes i'll just stare at her for a long time and wonder whats going on in her little fuzz-covered cranium. she likes to curl up into a ball and it was brought to my attention that she looks like a cinnamon bun in this position. may i add, she also smells like coconuts.

3) writing a lot. ive been thinking about this analogy: the bridge of a song is something you guys probably hear all the time but dont know is called the bridge. it usually comes in after the second chorus (the part thats usually the catchiest and easiest to sing along to), and it introduces either a) a new idea into the song, b) a resolution of the story in the song or, c) draws some sort of conclusion about the meaning of the song (c is most popularly used in country songs...) since ive been writing a bunch ive been thinking about this part of the song a lot, and i think maybe in some ways i have gotten to my own bridge. i just have to figure out what kind of song i am. maybe im a country song in some ways. im smiling now thinking about how some of you are probably scratching your heads in confusion. i dont mean to confuse. i hope you guys are all ok. its good to be ok. drop me a line. i'm here.

We know there are only a few dates left, which is why we are working quickly to get it available online for all of you who will not be seeing us in Misouri or Texas. We are hoping these few songs will tide you over until we are able to get back in the studio and record a full-length album which will hopefully be soon.
